This is a favourite hot spot just above the resort of Santa Eulalia in the popular small town of Es Canar.
If you find nearby Cala Llonga too crowded and built up, then less than a kilometre away is the pretty little cove of Sol d'en Serra.
This stunning church is hard to miss as it's situated at the top of a high hill overlooking the whole of Santa Eulalia.
In a pretty Ibizan house is the Ethnographic Museum of Ibiza. Permanently on display are artefacts that demonstrate how life was in Ibiza in the past.
Built by the Romans in the 1st century AD, this aqueduct now runs for 425 metres and reaches 2 metres high at some points.
As the road winds around it, entering and leaving San Carlos, you can't help but be drawn to a quick stop to have a wander round.
Just outside the village of San Lorenzo in the north, there are echoes of an old Moorish settlement, seven houses and two towers with a distinctive defensive function
The local church sits in the centre of the village and was founded 1797, although building actually began in 1785.
Situated 15km north along the east coast from Ibiza town is the charming municipality of Santa Eularia. This area has a slower and more relaxed pace of life than its neighbours of Ibiza town and San Antonio.
As you turn off the main road into Cala Llonga, you could be mistaken for this being a country club with its rather official looking walled entrance. It is however, a delightful family resort that is buzzing with life.
The cheaper alternative to many of the bigger beach resorts and popular towns, Es Canar has it all for those who want a great fun packed holiday...but on a budget.
Continuing north from Santa Eularia along the east coast of Ibiza, is the small village of Sant Carles de Peralta. Located 22km north east of Ibiza Town, this is a perfect lunch spot if you are exploring the island.
Set back inland, 17km north east of Eivissa, is the small village of San Lorenzo. It's an attractive traditional village with an 18th century church and a few houses.
Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera is 12km north of Ibiza Town, located in the middle of the island surrounded by rich countryside and fruit trees, (hence the name).
