Watch the sunrise from this popular east coast beach
This is a favourite hot spot just above the resort of Santa Eulalia in the popular small town of Es Canar.
The golden sandy beach stretches for 300m and the water gently shelves, making it safe for swimming and good for water sports. It does get crowded early on but there are opportunities to walk further round the coastline from here and to explore nearby coves and bays.
There are plenty of cafés and restaurants along the main promenade that lines the back of the beach.
There are also some nice options closer to the marina area and again further along in the Punta Arabi Hippy Market area.
Due to the popularity of Es Canar, development has shot up and now crowds the small harbour with restaurants, hotels and apartment blocks.
But this does give the area quite a buzz and if you're looking for a beach with easy access to shops and restaurants then this is it.
Boat trips are available from the harbour to Ibiza Town and other destinations.
And the beach is a mere 10-minute walk from the popular Punta Arabi Hippy Market.
The shallow water stretches out in front of the bay and offers the perfect conditions for swimming. With the nearby harbour you should be aware of boats coming and going but there are clearly marked swimming and boating areas.
The sand here is golden and soft.
There are lots of watersports available right on the beach front, with the usual pedaloes and sun loungers for hire too.
The Punta Arabi Hippy Market is only a ten to fifteen minute walk away so if you tire of the beach and sunbathing then the market offers an interesting distraction.
