Standing at 23 metres in height this impressive monument sits nestled amongst the trees in the small residential village of Monte Cristo just 3.5km to the north of Ibiza Town.

This pretty church was founded in the mid 15th century and has been very well preserved. Inside there is an impressive alter painting illustrating significant stages in the life of the Virgin Mary.

When you travel across the island you will see many remnants of windmills, once glorious, and now just a few spokes sticking out from a ruined tower.

Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera is 12km north of Ibiza Town, located in the middle of the island surrounded by rich countryside and fruit trees, (hence the name).

Heading out north west on the main road from Ibiza to San Antonio, after 7km, lies the small village of San Rafael. 

Jesús is a lovely residential village situated 2km northeast of Ibiza town. There are a few local shops here such as a butchers and dry cleaners etc, plus a lovely church (Nostra Mare de Jesús).

The tiny village of San Mateu d'Albarca is one of the smallest on the island. Located 19km north of Eivissa, this tiny village is surrounded by beautiful countryside and lots of vineyards.

Set back inland, 17km north east of Eivissa, is the small village of San Lorenzo. It's an attractive traditional village with an 18th century church and a few houses.

Below the walls of Dalt Vila is the old fisherman's quarter which is now a plethora of bars, shops and street vendors. The port is also home to one of the most expensive moorings in the world, Ibiza Magna.
