Very popular with all this is a calm and shallow bay on the south east coast
Talamanca is a lovely golden sandy beach stretching over 900m long. It's the closest beach to Ibiza town, and a popular destination for locals and families.
There are no banging tunes here, just a long wooden boardwalk running along the length of the beach with restaurants scattered in-between. The restaurants vary from pizzerias, to typical Spanish serving paella and fresh seafood.
There is a lifeguard, plus sun loungers and umbrellas to rent and there is also beach wheelchairs available for use as well as great disabled facilities in the shower and toilet block. Security lockers are also available near the showers.
This is nice and peaceful day at the beach with lovely water to swim in.
Restaurant and Hotel Talamanca is the first you’ll come to with a large terrace, affordable tapas menu and live music and barbeque on a Saturday night.
El Barco and Talamanca Pizzaria are your best options for simple child-friendly menus alongside the seafood. El Pulpo has a beautiful seafood menu at not bad prices although a lot of the fish is priced daily according to market prices.
If you walk along the rocks you’ll find reasonably priced cocktails at the Hotel Figueres on the rocks and a Lebanese rooftop restaurant and Asian food bar if you fancy something a little different.
If you’re after a day of serious luxury then it has to be The Harbour Club, private sunlounger service, huge terrace with cabana beds, private DJ’s and exquisite menu offering sushi and sashimi alongside 160 day aged Black Angus beef. If you’re looking to push the boat out then head here to feel like the A List for a day.
The sheltered bay and shallow sea gradient is perfect for kids and beginner swimmers, there’s very few rocks anywhere which won’t appeal to snorkellers but makes for soft sandy entry to the water. Lifeguards are on duty.
The sand is soft and white and deep.
Kayaks, paddle boards and pedal boats are available for those wanting a mellow cruise around the bay, watersports and inflatable rides are available for those who’ve had enough of relaxation.
