Peaceful beach within walking distance of Santa Eulalia on east coast
Just north of Santa Eulalia is the peaceful beach of Es Niu Blau. Around 100m of golden sand ensures plenty of bathing spots and the bordering pine trees provide some shade.
There are sun loungers and a few restaurants and generally a very chilled and relaxed atmosphere. Popular with locals as well as tourists this beach is one for the families who are looking to escape the busier beach areas around Santa Eulalia but still have amenities close by.
This beach is home to the beach club of Pura Vida which offers a selection of sunbeds, loungers and a great sea side restaurant. It has a very chic and sophisticated vibe.
The water here is clear and shallow, the sheltered bay makes it a good spot for swimming. But you should be aware that there are no lifeguards on duty on this small beach.
The sand here is golden and soft, with a bit of shingle along the waterline. Perfect for laying down your beach towel, or for the little ones to build a sand castle near the waters edge.
There are several water sports available including water skis, banana boats and pedalos.
If you are staying in Santa Eulalia, it's advisable to walk as parking can be troublesome in busy weeks. Or if you have a moped then you'll be able to find a place either in the car park or in the street running down to the beach from the main road.
