La Torre del Canonigo Hotel
Peaceful hotel set in an ancient tower within the Ibiza Old Town walls
This tower from the 14th century was built on the ancient roman acropolis walls and refurbished to create a peaceful luxury hotel right in the heart of the Old Town.
Set amongst the quiet streets of the Old Town of Ibiza this hotel is a little slice of tranquillity on an Island bustling with nightlife and party goers. Calm and quiet whilst still being right at the heart of the city, the location couldn't be more perfect.
One of the most romantic and glamorous hotels in the city, it boasts breathtaking views over the sea and the marina. They offer a range of bedrooms: basic doubles, standards, superior with views and three types of suites including one with a spectacular terrace with jacuzzi.
The neighbourhood
Cobbled streets and historic buildings make up this interesting and peaceful part of Ibiza Town. The Old Town (Dalt Vila) contains many of the museums and art galleries that preserve and display Ibizan culture as it has developed through the centuries, many artefacts dating back to the original settlements in the seventh century.
The pool
The rooftop of the hotel hosts not only the terrace, bar and restaurant but also a beautiful outdoor swimming pool. With sun loungers and some shade provided from the trees which enhance this rooftop space, it is the perfect place to relax and soak up the sunshine as well as the views over the sea and harbour of Ibiza Town.
The Bar
Their rooftop bar is open year round for cocktails with views over the sea and the marina. Make sure you're there for sunset... it's spectacular.
The Restaurant
The hotel has a rooftop gourmet Japanese restaurant, Kyupiddo, on a terrace boasting some of the best views in the city. Open only during the summer
Directions
The best way to arrive at the hotel is to book an airport transfer with the hotel themselves. Taxi''s are reluctant to take you straight to the door as the area is full of narrow cobbled streets and historic buildings. However the hotel transfer will have you straight from airport to hotel door in 20 minutes.
