Through the salt flats you enter the beautiful sandy beach of Salinas.

This nature park is situated between the Islands of Ibiza and Formentera and includes the sea channel that seperates them.  

The tower is at the end of a south-pointing spit of land with two of Ibiza’s best beaches running back north on both sides, fashionable Las Salinas to the west and nudist beach Es Cavallet to the East.

Sa Caleta was the first settlement of the Phoenicians in the 8th century BC. Evidence shows they settled here for around 50 years before relocating to Eivissa and abandoning Sa Caleta forever.

A 16th century church set in the heart of the town of Sant Jordi, close to both Ibiza town and the Ibiza International airport.

This is the largest necropolis in the world, housing up to 4,000 tombs from all over the Mediterranean. The ancient cemetery was set up by the Phoenicians at the end of the 7th century.

Just outside of the Necropolis del Puig des Molins, is a secondary archaeological site. Smaller but extremely interesting the Sa Capelleta interpretive centre depicts the use of one plot of land by three distinct populations of Ibiza over a period of many centuries

This a resort mainly for clubbers and also families on package holidays. If you're looking for more history and culture then it's probably best to stay closer to Ibiza Town itself. 

Set back 1km inland from the beach resort of Playa d'en Bossa is the small and still traditional village of Sant Jordi.

If you're looking for even more seclusion than the island of Formentera, then you can catch another boat from the port at La Savina in the north of Formentera, to the smaller island of Espalmador. 

You can reach the area of Figueretes if you walk all the way through Ibiza town, away from the port.

Dalt Vila is rich in cultural and historic artefacts, and in addition to the castle and its walls, there is a cathedral, a monastery and several museums. 

Eivissa (Ibiza Town) is the capital of Ibiza and should be a definite, at least, day trip for any visitor to the White Isle.
