Cala San Vicente Beach Resort, North East Ibiza

Quiet bay nestled in the north east corner of Ibiza

featured in Towns & villages Updated

This quiet beach resort is popular with those who would prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of the San Antoni and Ibiza Town clubbing scenes.

Situated in a calm bay, the beach is backed by restaurants, cafés and hotels.

The surrounding area is hilly with many stunning luxury villas perched on outcrops offering spectacular views along the east coast. A walk up to the north east of the town is a great idea if you fancy seeing 'how the other half live' - some of the villas up here are incredibly modern, secluded and have fantastic views.

There are some walking trails, but it's best to ask a local for precise directions as none of the paths are marked and it's easy to get lost. A popular walk is to the lighthouse at Punta Grossa - but this is definitely one for local knowledge. We tried to find it by ourselves and ran out of time...without even a glimpse. However, the views alone were worth our exploration.

Beaches in [locality]

The beach itself is fairly large and wide, and even in high season you can find a spot to settle down for the day.

The area is perfect as a quiet family destination with the beach being fairly sheltered. The water is crystal clear and offers safe swimming, plus watersports such as pedaloes, wind surfing, paddle boarding and banana boats.

It's also the perfect spot to get up early and watch the sunrise.

Dining in [locality]

With plenty of accommodation along the beach front there are the obvious hotel restaurants and some small cafés.

Right on the south end of the beach you will find the popular On The Beach, with a chilled vibe during the day and a lively atmosphere in the evenings, live music and DJs.
