Tiny traditional town in the west of the island
Past San Rafael, above San Antonio, is the small village of Santa Agnes, only 18km north west of the town of Ibiza, this is really in the sticks.
It's a nice place to drive through if you have car and are exploring the island, but not much to stop for. There's an early 19th century church, a small café serving home-made dishes and beautiful surrounding fields of almond and olive trees.

Passing through the protected area of Es Amunts with its rolling countryside and fields of orange, lemon and almond trees, you can understand why you might be drawn back to the area during the 'blossom season' in January and February.
If you happen to be visiting Ibiza out of season then walking through these fields is a sight to behold. Many Ibizans gather here during the full moons of January and February when the blossom seems to radiate under the moonlight.
The church here is simple but beautiful. The interior is not as exciting or elaborate as some of the other churches in Ibiza, but the exterior is beautifully white washed and is quite the sight to enjoy as you sip your coffee on the near by terrace of the Can Cosmi restaurant.
Situated in the west of Ibiza the small town of Santa Agnes comprises just two restaurants and a beautiful church.
There are two small coves here, Cala Salada which is composed of golden sand and Cala Saldeta which is shingle and accessed via a small footpath.
A small, sheltered cove that offers pristine waters for swimming, diving and snorkelling, this beach is popular with locals and nudists.
This is a unique place on the island as it's technically not a beach, but it is the perfect spot for sunbathing.
Just north of Cala Gracio, a short walk away past some fishing huts, is the much more tranquil cove of Cala Gracioneta.

Situated right at the north end of San Antonio’s iconic Sunset Strip this small sand and rock beach offers great facilities, good swimming and spectacular views.
The best place (possibly in Ibiza!) for a Spanish omelette - if you're passing through Santa Agnes then make sure to stop at Can Cosmi and sample some food with the locals.
The entire western area of the island in popular for road biking. The roads are quieter than in the east and you can really get out into the countryside here. The roads that pass through Santa Agnes wind their way through the olive and almond groves and can be especially fragrant with blossom in the spring time.
Santa Agnes, a tiny hamlet in the north-west of Ibiza that doesn’t get much in the way of tourist traffic but does make a good starting point for a hike along some truly epic coastline.
A two hour hike that you can do in either direction or both ways if you’re feeling energetic, it will take you past the stunning beaches of Salada and Gracio as well as the hidden gem Cala Yoga, you can explore the dramatic headland of Punta de ses Galera and stop for a rest at the Hostal La Torre for a coffee with a great view.

This is actually the only natural river on the island so it is lovely that they have paved this way so you can enjoy it. With information boards along the way you can learn about your surroundings.
