Best DJs & parties in the world crowned at Hï Ibiza

Yesterday, the prestigious DJ Awards celebrated their 20th Anniversary with a party at the White Isle's newest hotspot, Hï Ibiza in Playa d'en Bossa. The ceremony, hosted by Des Paul and Lucy Horobin, enthroned this year's top DJs and parties.

Doors opened at 22:30 with pre-party nibbles and drinks. Some awards were granted by public vote, with 2017 seeing the highest participation ever, while the Special Industry Awards were decided by a panel of electronic music professionals. The list of winners was heavily populated with Ibiza residents.

The night's champion was Hardwell, who took home the Big Room House and International DJ prizes. The Dutch artist performed at Hï Ibiza, Amnesia and Ushuaïa this season. Other victorious White Isle regulars were Black Coffee (Deep House) who hosted the Saturday night party at Hï Ibiza and who you can still see next Saturday, Richie Hawtin (Electronic Live Performer) who graced the decks at Cocoon in Amnesia this summer and Ibiza-favourite Luciano (Tech House) who played at Hï Ibiza, Destino, DC10, Cova Santa and Amnesia (you still have a chance to see him at Ushuaïa Closing Party on October 7th).

Also on the winner's list were Carl Cox (Techno), who hosted two of his PURE events at Privilege in July, Armin Van Buuren, resident at Hï Ibiza this summer, and Solardo (Breakthrough) who you could see at Sankeys, Ushuaïa, Hï Ibiza and DC-10.

PURE Carl Cox was chosen as the best Ibiza Music Event, while the top Ibiza DJs were Pacha, Space and Ushuaïa residents Graham Sahara and Paul Reynolds. Claptone got the House award, Bontan the Newcomer, Todd Terje the Downtempo & Eclectic and Hannah Wants the Bass prize. They all came to the White Isle this summer.
