Summer Opening Parties in Ibiza
The White Isle gears up for an awesome summer season
With each new year the anticipation and excitement starts building - when are the first Ibiza nightclubs and beach clubs opening their doors, and where are the hottest places to party this year?
From January we can allow ourselves to start dreaming of warmer climates and packing our bags ready to fly away to some of the biggest and best party destinations in the world. We wait with baited breath, as from all corners of Ibiza the best nightclub venues drip-feed us their residencies and the dates for their summer events.
Here's a selection of some of the dates and events that have already been released... they're all so awesome we just can't wait to get out and start partying on the White Isle this year.
A New Hope
Summer 2017 will start with a question in the mind of all the clubbers, what will happen with Space's former premises? Well, the new Hï Ibiza promises to be one of the best venues on the island this season under the wings of the super-club company Ushuaia. If you want to see for yourself what all the hype is about, book your tickets for their opening party on May 28th and be one of the first persons to step through their doors. Warm up the day before at the mothership Ushuaia, which will also host preseason parties for ANTS on the 13th and 20th of May.
Eden nightclub are kicking it up a notch this summer. They have invited famous EDM labels AudioRehab and Defected to host residencies in Sant Antoni on Wednesdays and Sundays respectively. But, before they open their gates officially on May 24th, you can prepare for the season ahead at their Rejuvenation party on May 22nd and the TranceFamily Unite bash the next day.
The Beach Clubs Strike Back
The White Isle's summer fun isn't limited to its infamous nightlife, there's a lot of good times to be had during the day and the island's beach clubs are the best place for it. Two of the most glamorous and prominent have already released their opening dates. The exclusive Nikki Beach Club in Santa Eularia start their 2017 season on April 27th, while Ocean Beach Club in Sant Antoni will celebrate a Soft Opening Party the next day, with their official opening do set for the 19th of May.
Return of the DJs
Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces behind the turntables? Then you won't be disappointed as some of the best names in the industry are coming back to the island this year. You'll be happy to hear that Carl Cox has announced two dates in Ibiza, relocating to Privilege to host his PURE Carl Cox bash on the 11th and 17th of July. The closing of Space also left the elrow family homeless, but they've found a new roof over their heads at Amnesia (Sant Rafel), which will host them every Saturday from June 3rd. This nightclub's calendar of events, which starts on May 27th, is once more full of their well-known regular parties including Cream on Thursdays and Cocoon on Mondays.
Finally, there are two clubs on the White Isle that keep it up throughout the low season, Pacha and Sankeys. They'll both receive old friends this summer, with David Guetta returning to the former for his F*** Me I'm Famous bash and Unusual Suspects at the latter every Thursday. Unusual Suspects will also host their first open-air party at Benimussa Park, which will house their celebrated Zoo Project on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
