First celebrity sightings in Ibiza summer 2018
Actor Idris Elba and footballer Cesc Fabregas are on the island
Celebs from all around the world fly to Ibiza every summer to enjoy its Caribbeanesque beaches and internationally-renowned nightlife while they stay in the island's luxury villas and yachts. Check out who has inaugurated this summer's White Isle escapades.
A couple of days ago, Chelsea's central midfielder, Cesc Fabregas, and his brand new wife Daniella Semaan landed on the island where they are spending a few days as newlyweds. Accompanied by their 3 children, they have chartered superyacht AYA, the 27m motorboat that hosted Cristiano Ronaldo when he visited the island in July last year.
The Portuguese star, who comes to Ibiza more than once every summer, kicked off the 2018 season on the White Isle in mid-May by hitting the beach with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez just before winning the Champions League with Real Madrid. They were also seen having lunch at Beso Beach Club in Formentera. It looks like Ronaldo's love for the island is only getting stronger as he has stated his interest in opening a hotel in Ibiza, where he already has a restaurant with A-list partners Rafa Nadal, Pau Gasol and Enrique Iglesias.
British actor Idris Elba, another Ibiza regular, has also arrived with fiancée Sabrina Dhowre and his son. After his movie Avengers broke all records, hell enjoy a short break from acting this summer by taking up a residency at the exclusive Lio Ibiza, his "dream and destiny" as he said on Twitter. Elba was one of the stars that attended Harry and Meghan's royal wedding last month and you can now see him in Ibiza every Sunday spinning the best house tunes.
