The church of San Antonio dates back to the 14th century, however like many other churches, only some of the original building remains.
A good route for beginners to explore the coastline near to San Antonio
A circular route that will take you along the coast, through pine forests and give great views over to the impressive islets of the west coast.
This route begins and ends in Port des Torrents just outside the town of San Antonio and visits the beautiful bay of Cala Bassa and then further along to the beaches of Cala Conta.
Suncream, water and swimming costume are the essentials for this journey!
You will find magnificent views of Conejera Island, and of several small coves that appear beneath the cliffs and of Torre de'n Rovira or Torre de Comte. There is a majestic guard tower, built in 1763, that presides over this area of cliffs, although you do have to be especially careful not to get too near the edge here!

The 19th century Esglesia de Sant Agusti is a large stone building whitewashed in typical Balearic style and topped with a bell tower, it is distinctive when compared to other Ibizan churches by its lack of porch area common to most.

The cave of Ses Fontanelles is situated in an area of beautiful rocky cliffs between Santa Agnes and San Antonio. Inside, there are pre-historic paintings.

1. Depart from Port des Torrent from the route display panel, heading up Conca Street.
2. Right turn and enter the dirt track.
3. Left turn. At a crossroads in a clear area next to some houses, turn left.
4. Right turn onto the road.
5. At the curve to the right of the road, continue straight onto a track.
6. At the next fork, turn to the left.
7. Straight ahead at the crossroads on the main track.
8. When you reach an asphalt road with a certain amount of traffic, turn to the right.
9. When you reach Cala Bassa, take a road to the left.
10. You will reach a gate to private property, take the road to the right.
11. Reaching what appears to be the end of the track, towards a house, take a road to the left.
12. At the next fork, continue to the right.
13.At the Cala Roja cliffs follow the coastline, towards the left.
14. After skirting Cala Roja, you will come to a track. Here you turn left.
15. At the pronounced curve in the track, take the road to the right.
16. Follow the coast, pass a restaurant and continue along the coastline.
17. From the cliff, you will be able to can see several islets and a fence separating you from the cliff. Here you should take the asphalt road towards the left.
18. After a straight stretch on the road, the road will curve to the right. Take the road to the left.
19. At the next fork, continue onto the dirt track on the right.
20. When you reach an asphalt road, turn to the left.
21. Right turn onto the track. Enter the dirt track on the right, which you have already gone over; the loop closes here and you go back the same way you came.
22. Left turn onto Conca Street, up to the starting point.
23. End of the route.
