The prestigious Nightlife International Association celebrated their III Golden Moon Awards gala last night at Ushuaïa Beach Hotel in Playa d'en Bossa. The acclaimed open-air club was chosen as the Best Club in the World among a selection of 100 nightclubs from all around the globe.
Ushuaïa Ibiza is a large complex comprising a luxury hotel, several gourmet restaurants including the contemporary Japanese Minami and the chic Montauk Steakhouse, and a super-popular open-air nightclub with a state of the art sound system and visual effects. This season only, it has hosted the likes of David Guetta, Tinie Tempah, Kygo, Martin Garrix or Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
So it comes as no surprise that it has been hailed as the best club in the world. The Golden Moon awards have been decided by a professional jury as well as, for the first year, the public who could choose their favourites on Facebook.
Another 10 Ibizan venues were shortlisted among the World's 100 Best Clubs: Ocean Beach Club, DC10, Amnesia, Blue Marlin Beach Club, Destino, Heart, Hï Ibiza, KM5, Pacha and Sankeys.
