Ibiza is betting on sport to spread its tourist season and attract travellers in autumn, winter and spring. Its main appeal is the celebration of a variety of sporting events like the very recent Ibiza Trail Marathon.

The island's tourism director presented their plan yesterday at London's World Travel Market, highlighting some of the most important competitions that will take place in Ibiza next year. Among them, the "Ruta de la Sal", a prestigious regatta in March, or the Ibiza Triathlon in October.

There is no doubt that Ibiza is a great place to practice sports, with beautiful mountain landscapes and a long coastline perfect for hiking, cycling and watersports. You can take a look at our Activities Guide to check out all you can do in Ibiza.
