Ronaldo kicks off summer 2017 in Ibiza
A host of footballers visit the White Isle this May
Cristiano Ronaldo has chosen Ibiza for a short break yet again. The Portuguese star flew to the island in a private jet with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez taking advantage of a weekend off while his Real Madrid teammates played against Granada.
The couple were joined by Ronaldo's friends Ricky Regufe and Miguel Paixao at luxury hotel Hacienda Na Xamena, an oasis perched upon the cliffs of the island's northern coast, near Port de Sant Miquel. This 5-star resort is well known for its Posidonia spa, which boasts a series of interconnected seawater pools with stunning views of the sea.
He wasn't the only footballer to relax in Ibiza this early May. PSG player Angel di Maria was seen strolling along Playa d'en Bossa with pregnant wife Jorgelina Cardoso and their daughter. The White Isle was also the destination chosen by several of the Tottenham Hotspurs team to unwind last week, including Michel Vorm, Dele Alli and Kieran Trippier, all accompanied by their partners. Finally, the German national team's head coach, Joachim Löw, spent a week on the island and was spotted visiting the town of Santa Eulalia.
