With sports leagues over and most of the national teams out of the Euro 2016, a number of athletes have decided to head to Ibiza for a well deserved holiday. The beginning of July has seen Wayne Rooney escape to the White Isle, and he has been followed by other international sports stars.

LeBron James has been posting videos and pics of his well-deserved holiday in Ibiza, after winning this year's NBA ring with the Cleveland Cavaliers and earning the final's MVP title. He flew to the island together with his wife as well as Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat and LA Clipper's Chris Paul, who seemed to have a great time dining and dancing at Lío, or having lunch under the sun at Juan y Andrea, in Formentera.

Danny Care, the English rugby star, decided to head to Ibiza for his stag do, joined by pals Luther Burrell and Joe Marler. They spent a long weekend on a luxury superyacht exploring the island's coastline for 4 days which Care described as "unbelievable".

Spain's central midfielder, Andrés Iniesta, has also chosen Ibiza as the destination to unwind after his participation in the Euro 2016, joining his wife Anna who spent the beginning of June on the White Isle while he trained with the Spanish national team. Iniesta even took advantage of the start of the summer sales and bought presents for his two children at a local sports shop. He is not the only Spanish footballer on the island this week, Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas has been seen sailing the Mediterranean waters on a superyacht with girlfriend Daniella Semaan.
