Santa Eulalia's local authorities work hard to make the town a paradise for the little ones.
Santa Eulalia has always been hailed as the best place for family holidays in Ibiza. This small town on the eastern coast of the island even has a "Family Moments" initiative, that is aimed at singling out establishments especially suited for families.
The beautiful town of Santa Eularia des Riu boasts a relaxed pace of life and is perfectly located in a wide bay on the east coast of Ibiza. The main draw for families coming here is its certified quality beach, which boasts shallow waters, white sand and a good selection of restaurants and cafés just within a few steps.
There are also plenty of family-friendly hotels in the area, many of which offer kid's clubs and facilities specially designed for children. The "Family Moments" seal is signed up to by local accommodation companies and makes it easier for visitors to discern which tourist services offer special arrangements for families when booking.
This involves the development of urban spaces dedicated to children and activities, such as the the Es Fameliar playground with its iconic red slides, one of the five public playgrounds in Santa Eulalia, and also the Barruguet Festival of Family Theatre that takes place in May every year. There are also a large number of hiking and cycling routes that are easily accessible for the whole family, making the town a fantastic destination for a family holiday.
