Paula's Ibiza was the White Isle's most iconic boutique during the 1970's and 1980's, well-known for its colourful flowery printed blouses. High fashion brand Loewe has teamed up with Paula's alma mater, Armin Heinemann, to create a capsule collection that will be launched on April 28th at Loewe's online shop.

Located in Calle La Virgen 4 and opened in 1972, Paula's Ibiza was so much more than just a clothes shop. Armin Heinemann turned his boutique into the epicentre of the alternative culture in Ibiza Town. Inside, hippies, intellectuals, aristocrats and celebrities got together to celebrate the most fashionable gatherings in the city. Freddie Mercury, Valentino and Donna Summer were amongst those who frequented the boutique.

Paula's Ibiza closed in 2000, but his spirit has been kept alive by Heinemann who now directs the Ibiza Opera Festival. Loewe's creative director, Jonathan Anderson, has been diving into Paula's prints archive with him to create a collection that adapts some of the cult shop's most popular designs. Colourful flowers, plants and birds fill the surface of dresses, bags, hats, tops, necklaces and much more. The collection will be launched at the firm's online shop on April 28th and presented in their Barcelona flagship store on May 11th. Rumour has it that it will also come to the island sometime in early July, probably to the pop-up shop that Loewe opens during the summer at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
