The football star has purchased Es Vive Hotel
It was Cristiano Ronaldo who, last winter, expressed his wishes of opening four hotels on the White Isle under his "Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels" brand. However, Lionel Messi has beat him to it by purchasing funky Hotel Es Vive.
Located at Figueretes Beach, a stone's throw from Ibiza Town and trendy Playa d'en Bossa, this 52-room hotel boasts a unique 1940's art deco vibe that transports guests to Miami. Recently renovated, Es Vive features a refreshing pool, a gourmet restaurant, a hip sky bar and a wellness centre.
Messi purchased this new property under his MiM brand, after acquiring a hotel in Sitges (Cataluña) for £26 million. Ibiza is one of his favourite holiday hubs, only last year he spent a relaxing few days on the island just before getting married to Antonella Roccuzzo. The White Isle is extremely popular with footballers, Cristiano Ronaldo, for example, usually comes here every time he has a break in between competitions.
