Best DJs & parties in the world crowned in Ibiza Town
The prestigious DJ Awards celebrated their 21st anniversary with a party at the White Isle's most avant-garde night hotspot, Heart Ibiza in Ibiza town. The ceremony, hosted by Graham Sahara and Katie Hayley Knight, enthroned this year's top DJs and parties.
Most of the awards were granted by public vote, while the Special Industry Awards were decided by a panel of electronic music professionals. The list of winners was heavily populated with Ibiza residents.
Some of the victorious White Isle regulars were Black Coffee (Deep House) who is hosting the Saturday night party at Hï Ibiza and won the same award last year, Solomun (Melodic House & Techno) who is gracing the decks at Solomun+1 in Pacha this summer and Ibiza-favourite Carl Cox (International DJ) who played three gigs on the island this summer, his 'One Night Stands' and who has announced his intentions to reopen Space somewhere in Ibiza very soon.
Resistance at Privilege was chosen as the best Ibiza Night, while the top Ibiza DJ was Clara da Costa. Storytellers Chapter 2, at Cova Santa, got the Ibiza Music Event award while the Outstanding Achievement Prize went to Sven Väth who once again hosted his Cocoon party on the White Isle this season.
