17th Edition of The DJ Awards Hosted by Pacha Ibiza

With 11 awards voted for by the public and another 11 awards judged by an independent music panel the 2014 DJ international Awards are THE awards ceremony of the year for the DJ and electronic music community.

Hosted in the super club Pacha by presenters Des Paul and Lucy Horobin there were 86 nominees waiting for their chance to take one of the 22 awards which ranged from Trance to Techno, Tech House to Deep House and Track of the Season to Electronic Live Performance.

Winners of the public votes were:

Deep House - Jamie Jones

Tech House - Luciano

Electro House - Hardwell

Live Electronic Performance - Disclosure

Drum & Bass/Dubstep - Skrillex

Trance - Armin van Buuren (for the seventh time)

Breakthrough - Mano Le Tough

Electronica – Diplo

Newcomer - Patrick Topping

Carl Cox was another double winner for his three decades at the decks with DJ Techno and Best International DJ.

Ibiza DJ - Iban Mendoza

Ibiza Live Performance – Matador

Ibiza Night – Flower Power

Track of the Season – Forget by Newcomer winner Patrick topping

Producer – MK

Record label of the Year – Innervisions

International festival – Creamfields UK

Dance Nation of the Year – Croatia, received by Miss Sunshine, one of the emerging talents.

And finally DJ Harvey was recognized for his Outstanding Contribution to the World of Electronic Music.

The after party was hosted by Ibiza Rocks House with music from 2manyDJs, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Soul Clap and finally Graham Sahara took over the decks to round off the night. With what feels like the finale to the 2014 season we look forward now to 2015 and the 18th edition of the International DJ Awards!
