A Balearic inspired way of dressing since 1972 which was traditionally inspired by the hippies and has influenced fashion around the globe, Adlib fashion celebrated its own annual fashion show, which attracts celebrities and the Spanish fashion media.
Many visitors to the island are surprised to discover that there is a typical Ibizan fashion, which has been given the name Adlib fashion. Tourists can find this particular type of clothing in most town and village markets as well as some of the larger shops on Ibiza. It is distinct in its colour and in the fabrics used, white and light being the main themes, with elements such as tradtional lacework, embroidery and crochet.
Originally started by the Yugoslavian Princess Smiilja Mihailovitch in the early 70's, under her motto "Dress as you please, but with style", the Pasarela de Moda Adlib (Adlib fashion show) has now become a recognised event in the worldwide fashion industry.
