Easter traditions

Easter traditions

During April, visitors are given the chance to experience a traditional take on a much-loved festival in Ibiza. ‘Semana Santa' or Holy Week is mostly a religious celebration in Spain and commences on April 14th this year. During the week, processions will take place across the island with the largest celebration hosted in Dalt Vila on Good Friday or April 19th. Donning lavish costumes and cone-shaped masks, participants of the grand parade will carry platforms decorated with religious figures. This is a fantastic opportunity to witness an alternative Easter in a truly spectacular setting.
