Robert De Niro has organised a short escapade to the White Isle to inaugurate his newest endeavour, the Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay which he owns together with Japanese chef Nobu Nobu Matsuhisa and producer Meir Teper.

Although the stunning 5-star luxury hotel opened its doors last year, the official opening, which included a sake ceremony, took place last Saturday with the three partners in attendance. After opening a series of restaurants all around the globe, De Niro and his friends decided that it was time to get into the hospitality business. They own 8 hotels, most of them in the United States. Their Ibiza branch was one of the first ones outside the US, together with hotels in Marbella (Spain) and London.

De Niro arrived on a private plane and expressed his love for the White Isle and Spain in general where "there are spectacular places like Talamanca Beach, people are nice and the food is very good. That's why we're all here!" He also mentioned his plans to visit Formentera.

Rub elbows with celebrities this summer and book your room at the Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay, "the most beautiful Nobu in the world" according to Robert De Niro!
