This festival celebrates the Patron Saint of Ibiza Town, Saint Ciriac and also marks the day the Catalans rid Ibiza of the Arabs in the early 13th century.

The 8th of August symbolises the beginning of a new era for Ibiza and as a popular festival day there are lots of celebrations in the Old Town including mass, traditional food, folk dancing and musicians.

The festival highlight is a grand fireworks display over the Old Town and is one of the biggest events in the Ibizan calendar.
