Formentera beach takes its place in world's Top 25
Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice puts Ibiza beach in at number 7
The Top 25 beaches in the world contains, as you might imagine, the idyllic settings of Brazil, Cuba, the Seychelles, the Whitsundays, South Africa and numerous other exotic destinations.
But tucked in at number 7 is the Playa de Ses Illetes on the island of Formentera to the south of Ibiza. This strip of pristine white sand beach has become a haven for those looking for a relaxing day on the beach with crystal clear shallow water and that chilled out vibe that Ibiza is so well known for.
Voted for by Tripadvisor reviewers the Top 25 beaches in the World is a hit list of stunning settings, with Grace Bay in the Caicos Islands (a British Overseas Territory close to Cuba and the Dominican Republic) taking to top spot, and the not-too-shabby Praia de Santa Maria in cape Verde bringing up the rear.
It that's not enough inspiration to book your summer holiday to Ibiza then I don't know what is!
