BBC's Radio 1 Celebrates its 20th Anniversary in Ibiza
A weekend of dance music with Annie Mac, Pete Tong & Danny Howard
For the past twenty years BBC's Radio 1 has been broadcasting from the island of Ibiza in their annual pilgrimage to the White Isle.
The three day celebration will take place from Friday 31st July to Sunday 2nd August, exactly 20 years after the first broadcast in July 1995 - an Essential Mix by Nicky Holloway. This year Annie Mac will be joined in ibiza by Pete Tong and Danny Howard, all hosting live shows and events during the course of the weekend.
"It really is a special place, there's something about it that makes people keep coming back every single year," said Annie Mac as she announced the plans.
"I've been lucky enough to be going for years now, I've had some incredible memories.
"My second ever show on Radio 1 was a live broadcast from Ibiza, it was incredible."
The full line up will be released over the coming weeks on BBC's Radio 1.
