Avid fans may not have to say 'Goodbye my Lover' just yet to the British singer James Blunt as the rumours circulating about his marriage to Sofia Wellesley may be a few weeks premature.

Numerous sources have reported that the ceremony has already taken place at a small chapel in the town of Campanet in Mallorca where Sofia's father owns a property. However, 'Hello' magazine have reported today that the ceremony is in fact set for mid-September, and the local Mallorcan newspaper Diario de Mallorca is claiming that the couple will marry on 19 September. The couple announced their engagement last Christmas (2013) after being together for less than a year.

The brides parents, Lord John Henry Wellesley and Corinne Vaes have spent many summers visiting Mallorca and their home in the beautiful country mansion between Campanet and Pollensa, and this where the wedding celebrations are set to take place. Sofia, the grand daughter of the Duke of Wellington, is also a regular visitor to the Island.

James himself is no stranger to the Balearic Islands as he is now based on the Island of Ibiza, where it is assumed the festivities will continue as the wedding party head over to "Blunty's nightclub" - his beach side villa on Ibiza - for the days following the ceremony.

Rumours also surround the guest list as James Blunt has many 'A' list celebrity friends plus of course the Royals, Princes' William and Harry. Other famous guests may well include Elton John and his husband David Furnish and perhaps Pippa Middleton.

For the moment there is no confirmation of the ceremony having already taken place and no clear information on the assumed date of 19th September either. However, if you are on Mallorca around that time then keep an eye open for any celebrity arrivals and if you happen to be on Ibiza the following week then you may well be treated to some end of season partying whilst rubbing shoulders with some of music's top names!
