Hip Hop Comes to Ibiza's Sankeys Nightclub Next Summer
Hip Hop and R&B will have a weekly dedicated night in 2016
UK's Hip Hop brand Applebum have landed a residency at Ibiza's popular Sankeys Nightclub. Expect a celebration of R&B and Hip Hop culture, including breakdancing, DJing, MCing and graffiti.
Applebum have been keeping the spirit of old school Hip Hop alive, combining it with new trends at their parties in London. Now they're bringing it all to Ibiza's Sankeys Nightclub! Their residency will take place every Friday from June 24th to September 9th.
Although they haven't released a line-up yet, they've already teamed up with some of the best Hip Hop crews in the UK such as Supa Dupa Fly, Gin & Juice, Brooklyn Zoo, Shorebitch and Cheese On Bread. If we take into account their mixtapes, you can expect to dance to the beat of Mos Def, Coolio, Tupac, Lauryn Hill, Dr Dre or even Janet Jackson.
The announcement comes after the unexpected success of Snoop Dogg's DJing gig at Sankeys last summer. At that time, club owner David Vincent realised the gap in Ibiza for a Hip Hop and R&B dedicated party which he's been quick to fill.
