Figures Show Success of the BBC Ibiza Prom
No Morzart; just DJ Pete Tong, a few dance acts & an orchestra
Despite being a non-traditional BBC Prom, this years tribute to the electronic music of Ibiza has been well received. And not only on the night itself.
According to BBC figures, the Radio 1 Ibiza Prom is the most downloaded of the Royal Albert Hall concerts so far this year, having received 11,809 downloads so far.
The legendary DJ Pete Tong hosted the late night Ibiza Prom and led the Heritage Orchestra in a special dance-themed concert. Not necessarily one for the traditional Prom-goers but clearly popular as it has become the most listened-to of the 35 Prom events so far.
