1. Abel Matutes

Matutes was born in Ibiza in 1941. He started off a political career by becoming the mayor of Ibiza, he then progressed to represent the Balearics and onto the Spanish National Government, where he acted as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1996 - 2000. 

 As a business man, he has been involved in tourism, aviation, biotechnology and banking companies, and is Deputy chairman of the Ibiza and Formentera Tourism Employers Organisation. He is reportedly a large share holder in some of Ibiza's top nightclubs.

2. Samantha Torres

Torres was born in Ibiza in 1973, a natural beauty she went on to win local beauty contests which then progressed into a national modelling career.

She became Miss Spain in 1993, then went onto international modelling and graced the front of several Playboy issues. She later developed an acting career and has been in several films and TV shows. Films include roles in 'Gia' and 'Shadow of Doubt'.

She was once the girlfriend of 'The New Adventures of Superman' actor Dean Cain and the couple had a child together in 2000, Their son was named after Dean's grandfather Christopher Cain. Since 2011 Dean Cain has had sole custody of their child.

She now lives in Malibu, close to her son Christopher, with her twins Elijah and Isabella.  Cain says the two (Torres & himself) are now on better, if still tense, terms. "Christopher sees his mom as much as he wants," says Cain. "But she's got her hands full, and he's got a stable place with me." The actor is proud of being a fun father figure to his son's half siblings as well. "Elijah and Isabella are ridiculously beautiful," he says of Torres's twins, who spend up to a few days a week with him and call him Uncle Dean. "I'd do anything for those two."

3. James Blunt

Born on 22 February 1974, James Hillier Blount is better known by his stage name James Blunt, and is a very well known English singer-songwriter.

He has now sold over 20 million albums and 17 million singles worldwide. His debut album, Back to Bedlam, is also listed as the best selling album of the 2000s in the UK.

Blunt says that he has become closer to his family since his musical success. His father manages his finances and his mother arranged the purchase of his principal residence in Ibiza, where Blunt has holidayed since he was a teenager. Blunt also owns a chalet in the Swiss town of Verbier, which he purchased in February 2007, and he was named "godfather" of one of the town's new ski lifts.

Blunt married girlfriend, Sofia Wellesley, in September 2014 on the neighbouring island of Mallorca. They later celebrated their marriage in Ibiza amid controversy about the venue they were using. The couple had paid an events company to set up a wedding banquet on s’Estanyol beach in the south east of the island. According to Spanish national daily El Mundo, beachgoers were forced to leave as the stretch of sand was taken over by chairs and tables where Blunt and Wellesley’s 150 guests would be seated. Santa Eulalia Town Hall opened up proceedings against the couple and the wedding organizers for illegally occupying a protected area.
