Founded by Dutch couple, Joachim and Alexandra Rens, Cinema Paradiso has taken the island by storm. Candles and intimate lighting play as much of an important part as the stars and moon above. Comfortable seating is non-negotiable – the duo went so far as designing their own signature luxury bean beds for their events rather than compromise on quality. Fab food and icy cold drinks are all part of the experience – sweet, salty, savoury or spicy; you want it, they can deliver a menu to suit your tastes.

They are frequently to be found on Baluard de Sant Pere in Ibiza's Dalt Vila, amidst the charming old city walls, and the Amante Beach Club in Cala Llonga in a dramatic rock setting with the crashing waves below.

They have special events such as opera and live music screenings, as well as film marathons. In autumn they participate in the celebration of 'Fiesta del Cine', a Spain-wide event when cinema tickets are sold at reduced prices.

There are also conference rooms and facilities for meetings and social events, plus a coffee shop and disabled access. Parking is easy as it is attached to the complex.

Open Monday to Friday: 17.00-23.00, and Saturday and Sunday: 14.30-23.00. Monday is 'spectator's day', with tickets at a reduced price.
