Spanish National Meteorological Agency (AEMET) are expecting snowfalls in Ibiza next weekend. The snow limit will drop to 500 metres on Saturday and 400 metres on Sunday, meaning that it will probably dust the hills of San Talaia (475m) near Sant Josep.

It will also be cold, with temperatures reaching 4º on Saturday and 3º on Sunday, feeling like -2º in the late evening. Monday will see the snow limit falling even more, to 100m, so snow will surely come our way then.

The last considerable snowfall on the White Isle happened in February 2015, when the mercury dropped to -3º, the lowest temperature recorded in Ibiza since 1965. However, locals still remember February 2012, when Sant Antoni, Sant Joan and Sant Josep woke up with a nice layer of snow and even Formentera received some of the white stuff.
