With the season change just around the corner, as autumn starts on Friday 22nd of September at 22:00, the Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET) have released their forecast for October, November and December. It seems like temperatures will be slightly higher while precipitations stay the same making it a great time to visit the island.

The average temperature this autumn will be a balmy 15ºC, above what is normal this season in Ibiza. October will be the warmest month, with an average temperature of 19ºC, and will have less rain that usual, making it the perfect time of year for a trip to Ibiza to enjoy its empty beaches and quiet streets.

November will see the mercury reach an average 14ºC, while in December it will fall to 11ºC. Rains will be more frequent then, with sunnier, warmer days expected around the traditional summery dates of Sant Miquel (29th September), the autumn roses (12th October) and Sant Martín (11th November).

All this comes after what has been the second hottest summer in 52 years, with temperatures reaching over 40ºC and tropical nights of 29ºC on the island.
