Another Netflix show set in Ibiza
By the creators of 'Money Heist' & 'The Crown'
The love story between Netflix and Ibiza continues. After producing the film 'Ibiza', starring Gillian Jacobs which premiered this year, and while they're filming the 8-episode series 'Turn Up Charlie' with Idris Elba on the island, they have announced that one of their new shows will also be set here.
'White Lines' will be produced by Left Bank, the company behind 'The Crown', and Vancouver Media who created Netflix's latest international hit 'Money Heist' ('La Casa de Papel'). Alex Pina, who was the mind behind the Spanish show, will write and serve as showrunner.
The drama tells the story of the disappearance of a famous Mancunian DJ in Ibiza. The case reopens 20 years later when his body is finally found. We will probably have to wait until 2019 to watch 'White Lines' but we might spot the crew on location in Ibiza later this year.
